What is LEGO Harry Potter?
LEGO Harry Potter is a LEGO theme based on the Harry Potter movies, which in turn are based on a series of books written by JK Rowling.
The first LEGO Harry Potter sets appeared in 2001 in conjunction with the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, four years after the first book was published. It made over a billion dollars in box offices across the world!
LEGO have licensed the brand from Warner Bros, and over the last 20 years has produced over 100 sets aimed at both children and AFOLs (Adult Fans Of LEGO!)
How are LEGO celebrating 20 years of LEGO Harry Potter?
LEGO have announced a number of sets based on Harry’s second year at Hogwarts, a time captured in the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Each set includes a collectable Harry Potter golden minifigure.
Unlike the Wizard Tiles that are randomly spread across the sets they’re included in, the golden minifigures choices are fixed with the sets.

Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter (76387)
Hogwarts: Fluffy Encounter is the second set of three that make up the larger Chamber of Secrets modular collection. For those not in the know – Fluffy is the ferocious three headed dog that can’t resist falling asleep to the sound of music, and now you can build him from LEGO.
Chamber of Secrets (76389)
The Chamber of Secrets is the third and largest set in the Hogwarts collection, completing a truly epic Hogwarts build consisting of 1800 pieces!
Hogsmeade Village Visit (76388)
Hogsmeade is a fictional village in Britain solely inhabited by wizards, witches and other magical beings, just northwest of Hogwarts. Harry first visits in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Confusingly, it’s always snowy there – nicely represented in the set!
Hogwarts Wizard’s Chess (76392)

This small set covers the flying lesson scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Almost like a mini-modular, it can be pulled apart and reconfigured in a number of different ways to play out different scenes.

Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition (76391)
A set of truly epic proportions, this 3010 piece set is absolutely stunning. The newest addition to the list, and it includes not one, but three golden minifigures. A set for true collectors, I can see BrickDads across the world convincing their better halves that their kids NEED this set. I’m certainly going to try…just check out the detail on Hedwig!
